Our Whole Property High Speed Internet Piggy-Backs On TV Entertainment!

Here’s how it works...

Private System:

Much like it exists with the entertainment systems proposed and used throughout our properties, the high speed Internet system actually requires even more electronic equipment is which to be able to provide high speed access to the whole property in a simplistic and effective way. Although we can supply such a service to a property with as little as ten(10) active subscribers, the whole concept is based on a property with at least one hundred(100) active subscribers or greater. This conceptual count is only determined by the economic goals in a competitive sense. Since our goals are long term, we don't require the large property counts (200 or more active subscribers), as other providers do. The same equipment we use to serve 100 units can easily expand to over 250 without much effort. The more residents participating means lower costs for all.

We design a system based on the needs of the property. The characteristics of our system is as follows:

  • The Internet data passes over the same coaxial wiring presently serving the resident's active satellite receiver.
  • There is no interruption or degradation to either service while merged together.
  • There is 24 hour connectivity ('Always-On').
  • You have complete access to your account over the Internet (no choice of ISP).
  • No special software or programming is required.
  • User can install their own Internet device as simply as plugging into the existing Satellite or CATV outlet, telephone or AC power outlet.
  • Normally no loss of service due to outside utility losses as is with DSL, ISDN, or Public Cable.
  • Latency is reduced or eliminated in comparison to other providers.
  • Data is high speed both ways, not just 'heavier' on the down load side.
  • Much more secure than any other provider especially when connected to our wireless ISPs.
  • The subscriber has the option of owning his own Internet device to reduce subscription costs.
  • Speeds are custom designed for the need of the property and can easily exceed a T1 line.
  • 24/7/365 technical support.
  • Carrier flexibility using Satellite, DSL, T1, partial T1, ISDN or Multi-Point Microwave.
  • Most cases no demolition or expected long term down-time.

ASTec is presently looking for properties of size in which to provide feedback tests on this new service while benefiting economically. Those wishing to own the system are preferred as they may offer a much desired amenity and have full control of the services while reducing overall costs for all.

Note, currently DirecTV does not offer high speed Internet or telephony.
