Our BULK Whole-Property Subscribers SAVE Money!

Here’s how it’s done:

When 100% of the residents subscribe to our services, each resident can save 50% of the community’s preferred programming package. The property receives one direct bill as a whole. The property determines the actual programming package channel line-up and the way the residents will be charged in which to reimburse the owners, or association, for this fee. Ten(10) units is the minimum sized property acceptable to DirecTV for Bulk billing. This opportunity is available once as an option and may be reversed after a year. New under-construction properties will receive special consideration over a year in which to ‘build-up’ this resident base prior to receiving a 100% subscriber billing. We have found that properties with at least 75-80% active subscribers can still save their residents a portion of this savings while offering a desirable amenity and requested service. No other type of property has this opportunity.

Example: The property determines it wishes to have ‘Total Choice with Locals’ plus HBO for all residents. At today’s rates, that means a ‘single family home owner’ needs to pay about $55.00/month for over 135 digital channels. As a multi-dwelling resident, under this option, the same package would cost $28.00.00/month. Residents wishing Pay-Per-View channels or other premium movie or sports packages would then pay the difference as an individual on a per-resident billing basis from the programmer. Typically, this would mean over a $336.00/year minimum savings for each active subscriber! Also, Bulk subscribers do not have to pay the 'mirroring fees' associated with multiple receivers (up to three) within one unit saving additionally up to another $10.00/month!

There still remains an install fee per unit that needs to now be paid by the property plus a lower Signal Access & Maintenance FEE(SAM).  The unit install fees are reduced due to the volume and therefore discounted to the property or subscriber. The subscriber DirecTV equipment is leased by DirecTV thereby eliminating the cost to the property or subscriber. The subscriber does not see any bills except for the additional programming they prefer above the property chosen package. Under this scenario, the subscriber would just pay a direct bill sent to them for the 'difference' (a good example is Pay-Per-View movies or Major League Sports Packages).
